the dr can give you some medication to help you sleep however a longer term solution would be to get yourself some counselling talk about the issues affecting your mind , your dreams your lack of sleep etc etc and therapy will help you to work through your problems....please do this as meds is not the only and complete answer to your problems,.,....
im sorry u have been through so much, take care of yourself now...a whole month of no sleep can drive a person nutty! ive been there and trust me therapy helps!
take care and heres a *hug* incase you need one :)

Hello, just wanted to let you know of a miracle pill that puts you to sleep, available over the counter, is actually very very beneficial for your health, and is only 3 bucks!! I had trouble falling asleep for years. I would lay in bed, and think and think and think for hours before I could fall asleep. It was literally driving me crazy!! I had tried every over the counter sleeping pill on the market and nothing helped. I turned to Nyquil and that did the trick. I had been drinking Nyquil almost every night to go to sleep until I stumbled upon this miracle sanity saving nutritional supplement named MELATONIN. And you can buy it at any GNC health food store. I advocate GNC because the melatonin they use goes through 85 different quality checks before its bottled. Buy the sublingual melatonin. The kind that dissolves underneath your tongue tastes like cherries and it’s good for you!! I was shocked at the effectiveness in putting me to sleep. If you have any questions before you buy it the sales associate at GNC should be able to answer any questions you have. It comes in 1 mg, I take 2 right before bed. The only side effects are weird dreams for the first two nights if any at all. Must take the sublingual kind from GNC for potency, should be taken at regular bedtimes in the evening.
God Bless
P.S. after you try it and it works don’t forget to tell others about it. You could be saving someone else’s Sanity

It is clear that your mind is full of worry. you need to release all that by finding someone you trust and sharing with them. I didn't want to worry my wife with certain problems and she did the same thing with me and we were both getting no sleep. now, after we talked things through, we had the best nights sleep in a long time and woke-up feeling refreshed and, most importantly, better able to deal with our problems.
you shouldn't be afraid to offload onto other people and let them reciprocate.
a problem shared is really a problem halved. also, the other person may offer a fresh insight which can help you work through the problem.
It's all good!

One of the first things you have to do is come to grips with what has happened in your life, if you need to see a councillor go do it. Next try a product called Calm Forte (by Hylands Homeopathics), Simply Sleep (OTC) or Neuxean (by Heel), Insomnia (by Hyland's) are several products I have used for years they all work well and are nonaddictive. Get control of your stress -- meditate, exercise, tai chi, etc.
Good Luck

Do daily exercise and eat healthy. Cut out all caffeine.
But also, go see a doctor. Sleeping that little for so long can have serious effects on your health. Maybe you just need some meds to get your system back into balance, and then things will get back on track.

Try to relax before you go to bed. Take deep breaths and think of something different not complex and if you have to you may want to ask your doctor about a sleeping pill. There are more people out there trust me i have been there. i thought i was hopeless but i found someone and so will you. if you dont try though you will never

Take a dose of cold medicine, like NyQuil, right before you go to bed. You definitely sleep through the night.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I think its stress that is causing you to not be able to sleep. Go see your doctor to rule out any other conditions, though. Have you tried drinking warm cocoa maybe?

Sleeping Aids are the biggest help. You can buy them at Walgreens or Walmart.
