Drink a lot of water and any type of clear liquid. I've found that going to a mostly liquid diet when trying to pass it helps but watch to keep the salts and any other minerals still going so you don't lose those in the process and get sick.
Also, tell them. Easier to warn them that it's what you think so if they do have to take you to the ER.
Another thing, you should get it checked out unless you're SURE it's a kidney stone. There are many other issues that can feel like a kidney stone or kidney problem. Unless you've had them chronically and your doctor is sure it's going to be a continuing issue, then have a professional check you out.

Why wouldnt you tell your parents?
Kidney stones are painful, and even though you would probably be ok taking something for pain and drinking lots of water, the stone could get stuck or you could form a urinary tract infection. Both needs treatment from a doctor.
Tell your family your symptoms, and go see a doc!

Drink lots of water and tell your parents. You should at least be evaluated by a doctor in the event that it "isn't" a kidney stone but perhaps another problem.
In the meantime, drink as much clear liquid as you can - preferably water.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

They'll hear you as it's passing, probably. Why not tell them ahead? How old are you?
