I am trying to run a program that I need for school. I downloaded it but I don't know what application to use to open it

You can purchase a program called Parallels that will allow you to run Windows applications on your Mac, but you will also need to purchase a full copy of Windows as well to install within Parallels.

An exe is a program and I have never been able to use a PC program on a MAC.....used MAC for many years and while you might be able to transfer some files the programs will not. If it is a word type program try saving the files as text and then open the program on the MAC and search all files for yours and see if it will open Good Luck
