Portland rocks!!! Try to go there on Saturday. They have a thing downtown called the "saturday market", kind of like the pike place market in seattle if you have ever been. It's basically people selling you handmade goods. It's REALLY fun. After that, head to a restruant called "resturante roma", if you like italian. Also, if you enjoy good skiing or snowboarding, head up to Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort. They have tons of new snow! Hope you have fun.

I used to live in a town about 2 hours away from Portland. They have a Saturday market, a great zoo, a beautiful skyline, Chinatown, pretty good shopping and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). OMSI has an OMNIMAX theater which can be cool, you should definitely check the show times, and it has an old war submarine that you can take a tour of. Make sure that you take in the Oregonian culture, the people are pretty interesting. Have fun!

Other people have already named some good places. One place I would say is worth seeing is Multnomah Falls.
