This girl who i like always says hi to me because im really shy and wont say hi first. We talk occasional on msn. one of her friends asked me if i like the girl that i like i was just wondering if this could mean she likes me. We r both in band and sometimes talk there we were also both part of our schools swim team.

Ok so TRY to open up a little more with her. Try to be not so shy. I had the same problem with this guy i liked but once i started talking to him I absolutely loved it and it made me feel so much more confident about his feelings for me. Another thing to get her attention is flirt with her. Maybe be slightly rough with her but not to ruff. If she likes you she will take that as a sign and then maybe ask you out. One problem i have is I'm always looking for guys to make the first move which is problomatic seeing as how they may be to shy to make the first move. How i got my first boyfriend was i got his phone number and email then started talking to him as much as i could. I brought up other guys i liked and taunted him with the fact that i liked a guy but i wouldnt tell him who it was! Hope I helped! Good luck!

There is a possibility that she likes you just ask her and be honest and straight forward about it and see how she feels. If she feels the same way as you hope then hey go for it and good luck to you.
