Hello, I am the co-owner of http://www.freewebs.com/foozian/ and http://pitpaws.proboards104.com/ , and I know that many Pits have had it tough, but then find great homes. Anyone who owns a Pitbull with a great recovery story, who wishes to share, it would be much appreciated if you would send it to foozianinc@yahoo.com , so your Pit can be displayed on the website. I am trying to stop Breed Specific Legislation by trying to find as many real life stories and advocates of the breed, these tend to be the most convincing and heartwarming.

*Please, if possible, also send a picture of your Pit in all their glory

Hmmm sounds like a good effort and wish you luck I have been attacked twice by Pitts that had bad owners Luckily I faired better than they did in both incidents but was within reach of a gun once and a shovel the other seen on video people being mauled bad feel for them and the dogs there are not as many bad dogs as bad owners. One of the best dogs I ever had was a pitt bull that didn't know he was a pitt bull neighbors 210 lb Rotweiler broke his fence down so they could go pal around together my lil Max didn't make it home he got run over.

Sorry I can't offer any singular stories, but I can say that two years of day-in, day-out kennel experience taught me that pits are some of the best-behaved dogs I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. And the worst? Brown and yellow Labradors, no question.

I look forward to sharing my home with one of these wonderful dogs someday. Good luck!

as the owner of 6 dogs, two of them a rottweiler and a staffordshire bull terrier, i have seen breed bias first hand
but breed restrictive legislation is the first step in bringing pitt bulls back from the edge of oblivian

anyone can put two pitt bulls together and have puppies and sel them for 100 bucks and let them breed and fight and then you have what we have now, shelters full of pitt bulls, and people who dont value the breed enough to show them, breed them responsibly or teach people what they are all about

the real life recovery stories ARE THE REASON for breed restictive legislation, ill pay my $300 liscence fee, and ill keep her muzzled in public, if it stops some ****** from breeding a litter of low quality fighting dogs that will either die of infection or end up in the spca

what you dont realize is that besides stopping pitt bull attack which are few and far between i know, but they happen and are sensationalized, this legislation saves out breed
