No! This is a scheme designed to keep people subjugated by disrupting their lives much like how religion has been used in the past. It seems minor but what is a better way to aggravate a daily routine that will include non-believers. what's going to be the next tactic you ask? Why It's call Homeland security!and it's coming to a government near you soon

Yes, daylight. Taking it away from an hour in the morning when very few people use it, moving it to the evening when almost everyone can use it.

Even if it weren't for the energy argument, it's still a great idea.

I've wondered about this myself. Most every office/store/factory I've been in has artificial lighting that they leave on whenever they are open, day or night - even with big glass windows out front.

Newer cars often have headlights that are on all of the time for safety (albeit a small amount of gas to supply this power).

I'm not convinced it is worth all of the effort.

One hour of energy for lighting for a home that lives on a regular schedule. Probably about 5 to 10 dollars a month in electricity.

Yes, at least it did for the Indians. It was used for planting seasons.
