Schizophrenic.

But if you talk to Jesus or God, you are OK?

We've never seen Jesus, nor God. People routinely talk to them, but they never answer back.

People pray to them. People attribute everything good to them, and everything bad is "God's plan".

Why are some people schizophrenic and others just religious?

(and on a side note, do you think anti-psychotics would help them to understand that nobody is talking back??)

A good dose of anti-psychotics is probably just what they need.

Abraham Lincoln never "saw" John Wilkes Booth, but he was indeed there. John F. Kennedy never "saw" Lee Harvey Oswald, but he was there. ( Setting aside conspiracy theories for a moment). The point is, that simply because you do not perceive a person's presence does not mean that the person isn't there.

Do you know EVERYTHING that there is to know? No.
Do you know HALF of everything? No.

But, let's imagine for a moment that you DO. Let's suppose that YOU know HALF of EVERYTHING that can be known in the universe.

Perhaps in the half that you DON"T know, there is ample evidence of God's existence.

Now let's come back to reality. The FACT of the matter is that you do not posses even one one-billionth of all that can be known.
(Nor do I).

For someone with such LIMITED knowledge to make such a sweeping statement as "There is no God" is at best, utter foolishness; and at worst, complete self grandiose delusion.

The fact is that God may very well exist and be able to do FAR worse to you that a bullet in the head.
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

I talk to God- but I also talk to my plants and my pets- they do not all answer me back in a verbal message- my plants bear fruit and grow to say thanks- and my pet gives me a kiss or simply wags her tail- God on the other hand has given me a wonderful family and life and when I talk to Him He answers me - if I am feeling down about myself He shows me someone who is Really in a bad spot, and this tells me to get over myself and keep going- He rewards me all the time -and He shows me love in many ways -I am not religious-I just love God- so does this mean I'm schizophrenic? if it does, then so be it- I like who I am!

I try not to worry about the people talking to their Gods. It's the people talking to their dogs (with the dogs talking back, of course) that really scare me...

I talk to my dogs, as well, but I don't think they are trying to tell me anything...=0)

Very few psychologists wouldn't classify the religious as sociopathic. As long as they are harmless or just noisy, they are ignored.
