I was born in afghanistan but was raised in Canada. As I got older I question islam more and more. Upon much research I found that Islam was an evil and a false religion. Now whenever the situation calls for it and I state that I am an ex-muslim, people accuse me of lying-especially the muslims. Why is that?

Most Americans are under the impression that once a Muslim, always a Muslim or a DEAD ex Muslim. The Koran calls for Muslims to kill those who believe and then quit believing. We have a hard time believing that you could survive the terrorism you would very likely encounter.

Isn't being a Moslem a great deal like being in the Mob? Once a Mobster, always a Mobster or dead? Once a member...always a member. I always thought the other Fundamentalist Moslems would hunt you down and kill you.

I bet you would have a short life expectancy if you went to Afghanistan and said you were Moslem once but not any more. I bet you'd live about 5 minutes after opening your mouth.

I agree with E.T.01.
I think you need to move on. by talking about it the only thing your proving is that your still thinking about Islam and Muslims.you converted so now you feel like you have to defend your self because you know you were wrong. If you weren't feeling anything or guilty then you would not bother with occupying you life with worrying weather Islam is evil or not. you would have just converted and left it alone so obviously you feel guilty that you left Islam so Christians don't bother you and call you names and such... I feel for if your not strong enough your not strong enough.

because you flaunt it. if i had been a christian and then converted out of it to islam i would not spend my life ridiculing it. there are many ex-christian converts to islam in this forum and i never see them saying anything disrespectful toward christianity. i dont get what you being a ex-muslim proves. there are converts from every religion. and if someone is an honest believer of a religion he does not leave it. for you to disrespect islam in this way shows that even if you were a muslim by name you were never one by heart. why dont you move on with your life?

Hi! I 'am Muslim myself. When you questioned Islam who were the people you asked? Also, you should'nt ever say that a religion is EVIl or FALSE you are putting down people's relgion and that's wrong. In additon, don't state that your an ex-Muslim, just say your confused.
hope this helps!

Well anyone who has any experience of the Internet should have developed a healthy skepticism about *any* claim. I don't think yours is anything special in that regard.

Because indoctrination starts at a very young age, the fact the you questioned the Muslim faith is UNBELIEVABLE!
Therefore you are an unique individual, or a racial liar!

Only Muslims will have a negative reaction. Christians would love you for becoming a Christian.
Disregard people that reject your newfound freedom.
Enjoy everyday life.
