a crush is a relatively fleeting infatuation with someone. you don't need to know someone that well to have a crush on them, it can be based on something superficial like looks, or a handful of conversations with them.
true love is harder to define, but when you find someone who makes you feel complete, who understands you, who you feel comfortable with on bad days and good days.. then that's probably real love. which leads to commitment... which is being willing to devote yourself to someone .. meaning your heart and time. you are investing yourself into this relationship for the long run.

I can only tell you from my experience, this does not happen in all cases. I just got married 3 mos and I found the person who is perfect for me. You know it is truly love when you can only see yourself with this person for the rest of your life. For better or for worse. I look at it as this....If my husband and I lost eveything we had and we had to live in a shelter til we can get things right again, I would be with him because I love him and nothing in this world could tear us apart. And the only thing that could separate us is death. Commitment is when you have devoted yourself to someone. Forsaking all others, meaning that if someone came to you and tried to give you their number and you would turn that person down and say i am in a committed relationship. I look at situations like this how would I feel if my husband did this to me? Would I approve or would I be mad????

How far are you willing to go for him? f you're willing to do things for him that you wouldn't normally do, and your friends woulfd think you're crazy for doing these things, then it's love.
Wen it's love, you know it. When it's not, you're not sure if it is or not. Just the fact that you asked this question, it's a crush. When it's love, you'll know, and you'll be sre. and then you're not going to want anyone else. That's commitment...

commitment is two people working together to make things work out, dedicated to each other, etc
crush is shallow it ends quickly
