It does seem strange to mold things like soy, tempeh or tofu into bacon, hotdogs, hamburgers and chicken breasts. They have a completely different taste, consistency and appearance. Why mold them into the hated cuts of previously living flesh that you eschew?
For example, no matter what sort of material we use to mold dildos, they're never going to be penises, are they? Oh, they may look like a penis, but they don't feel, taste or smell like a penis. They are a poor plastic tasting cold weird tasting substitute, kind of like those fake meat products.
Hey I wonder if vegans swallow? After all, it's certainly an animal product.

I have no difficulty staying healthy. I choose not to eat meat precisely because in my case, it has resulted in lost weight, better sleep, stronger hair and nails, more energy, far fewer sweet cravings, and more even blood sugar levels.
As for the "fake" meats, I think it's more a desire to not only eat things that fit into our modern society, but it's a way of former meat eaters to still have something that satisfies psychologically as well as physically. I could eat my veggies as a salad every night, or as a veggie burger. Sometimes the burger's just fun. Also a good way of getting concentrated protein in a meal sometimes.

Good for you, but maybe you should rather worry about your spelling skills than about what other people have on their plate. And no, it is not difficult to be a "vetatarian", given that vegetarians don't live only on veggies. Your sentence: "Much of what vegetarians eat will say like beef or like some dish made with meat" makes rather as little sense to me as the idea of not eating meat makes to you. But that is, how it is. And if the term "soya burger" appears hypocritical to you, fine, they are also called soy patties. :)

The difficulty staying healthy comes with eating meat, not vegetarian food. And vegetarians don't look at their diet as a sacrifice. They are not "giving up" meat. They just prefer not to eat it. If you prefer to stick your face into an animal carcass, that's your choice. The vegetarians will be there to help you when you have a heart attack.

i used to be a vegetarian during my childhood, because i simply disliked the taste and texture of meat. as an adult, i've developed a taste for burgers and chicken. but to this day i cannot eat any kind of meat with excess fat or gristle. it just grosses me out. also, i can't stomach the preparation of raw meat to this day... for me, vegetarianism was based on personal taste preferences, not concern for animals.

It makes no sense to be either. And by virtue of those seven words, I will get a ton of thumbs down. I don't shove my believes down their throats and I get sick of them shoving it down mine and everyone els's,
I would never be so high and mighty to tell people what they should eat, drink, think, believe nor if they don't eat, drink, think or believe what I do they are wrong.
