Why would that bother anyone?
Last time I checked, the sex-cult of the Canaanite Ba'al Peor condemned in Leviticus has long since disappeared, along with the Syrian homosexual temples condemned in Romans.

Being an atheist who considers such stuff culturally bound drivel that carries about as much weight as the inscriptions on a Mayan temple, No.
Bible-ists put so much weight on the words of the Bible, when there is no more rational reason to turn to it as revealed than there is to turn to the Odyssey.
UNLESS of course, you or some of your cohorts are intending to put this into practice, then I will become extremely concerned, because you are about to commit murder, which in a rational world will see the blood on YOUR hands.

No. I'm not gay but the verse there only says lies with. There is nothing wrong with loving a member of the same sex. Also I don't believe in the NT so I can't answer your other question.

As far as the Bible goes...
(2 Timothy 3:16) 16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness,
So if all scripture is inspired of God.....
(Romans 1:26-27) . . .That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
Then it is God who is judging people.... it is not the one who chooses to follow what the Bible says that is judging....
God created us, He has the right to set standards. It is loving of Him to let us have freedom of choice. Still there are consequenses for incorrect choices. IE: Jump off a 30 story building, you will probably die...
So, when God has gone to the trouble to give us His written word, then He gives us time to read it and learn what He requires.... If we then choose to go against Him and His standards, oh well too bad for us.
Those who choose to go against God will die. Fact.
Thing is we all have a choice.....

What about the other parts of the Old Testament? Should we follow those parts too? Should I start stoning people for working this sabbath day, or is that part conveniently no longer applicable?

Genesis 38:8-10 - "8 Then Judah said to Onan, "Lie with your brother's wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to produce offspring for your brother." 9 But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so whenever he lay with his brother's wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother. 10 What he did was wicked in the LORD's sight; so he put him to death also."
I believe this verse has been used by many preachers for decades to refer to "Self-servicing" sexually... are you ready to be put to death yet? Strange how suddenly an excuse will begin to rise, to override this verse huh?

Hell no! I'm bi and there's no truth in all that bull. that is just plain ignorance right there in that scripture. I'm not a Christian but I remember a scripture saying that you shall not judge or you shall be judged (somewhere around that anyway)....so what does that verse say that you just posted? if you sleep with a woman and you are a woman, you should be killed? that's judging people right there. People can be homosexuals if they want to...it's not hurting anyone!

How is it possible for a man to lie with a man like you lie with a woman. Obviously those who wrote the Bible did not take into account the difference in plumbing. So does that mean that all couples (male and female) perform anal sex?

I can not quote it but the bible also states that woman must obay there husbands to the extreams and that every person has the right to be happy, as well as no war should be foaght over religion. It is really just one large, contradictiong story.
