Do you think it's the 'uncertainty' of it all?
The concept that Hell & Heaven might be real, and they're worried if they'll be recieved into heaven?
The idea of parting from things they treasure here on earth?

In regards to Spirituality - do you think death is people's biggest fear?

(this is a pure opinion question - no preaching included.lol)

I think the thing that scares people about death the most is the fear of the unknown.

The only thing that scares me about dying is not seeing those I love ever again. I am not a religious person so I don't believe there is a heaven or a hell.

I believe that people truly don't know where they are going, and are truly afraid. There are also people that believe if they are good they will go to heaven. Or like the people that blow themselves up, and think they are going to heaven, because of the lies they have been told. There is too much lies that have been told over the years. So there are many out there that are afraid.

To me...74 yrs young, leaving the scene without contributing something for mankind.
That's why I wrote a book about part of my life, to let people know, what is going on in the world out there, behind the veneer Governments constructed to hide their mess. The
Book..."The three lives of a Practitioner." Donald S. Dow

For many its the fear of what am i REALLY going to face when I died...but the Bible say...Oh death where is your sting.
If you believe in Christ their is no fear of death because you know where your destination lies.
There are hundreds and thousands of medicines trying to keep our selves alive.CNN reports in ten years their will be a shot expanding your life over 10 years!. I do say death is Americas biggest fear and parting with their earthly possesions.
Many people who rejected God are afraid when they die because they also are unsure of them selves.

So i think not knowing what truely lies beyond is what makes death scary for many.

I believe most people are scared of dying because they do not know for sure or without a doubt there is a heaven. If they did know for sure, more people would take their own life.

The UNKNOWN.....no one has ever resurrected from death to tell their story....we don't know what to expect.....unless you firmly believe in the teachings of your religion, of course. Islam answers a lot of questions about life after death....but you said no preaching included, so i'll stop here :)

The sad thing about death is,
That when you're dead your the only one not sad.

What scares me most about dying is not going to an uncertain place,
But going there without the ones I love.

Since my father died I am no longer afraid of death because I know I would get to be with my father again.
