I like McDs as an occasional "treat" or if there is no other real good option. For at home there are lots of options that would save you money and not take any longer, and probably save time if you don't have to run out to McDs to pick something up, like a TV dinner (Healthy Choice, etc would costs less than a #1 Big Mac meal deal), or just have some veggies and fruit, you can get a big sack of mini carrots for less than a McDs meal, then get some lite ranch dressing. Or whatever. I don't think it's good if you have fast food 3 times a day, for cripes sake. But fast food a few times a week is OK, it's all moderation. Lame to say it's because you are on a budget, you KNOW it's $3 to $5 bucks every time you go there, you can eat for way cheaper than that! It's more convenient if you're always on the run. I DO eat there too, more than I should........

A sin? You're kidding, right? Hell no it's not a sin. Just not my first choice. In fact eating at McPukels comes in behind going hungry. The food is bad, I'm suspicious of the handlers and it's not much more than overpriced salted fat. Even their salads which start out ok, turn out to be just as bad for you as a big crMack because the dressing they provide is also laden with hydrogenated oils and crap. Even their coffee sucks. They hide the weakness of the brew by serving it so hot you can't drink it.

I do however admire their marketing. It's exactly like what Rosie O'donnel said. You keep feeding people crap sandwiches and tell them it's prime rib over and over again, eventually people start to like fecesburgers and believe it's prime rib. Oh how easily people are led. Sheep.

properly, which could count number on what flavour of "religious" you're. if you're Jewish, or a Muslim, then - sure, eating at McDonald's is a sin because the beef is neither kosher, nor halal. also, if you're Jewish, cheeseburgers are suitable out because of the mixture of milk product and meat (could be kept separate in accordance to Jewish nutritional guidelines). also, an identical griddle is used to practice dinner all products, hence each and each of the food has technically come into contact with the red meat sausages cooked at breakfast, and red meat is a significant No-No in Judaism and Islam. also, in case you persist with Jainism, you mustn't be eating meat in any respect, regardless of the truth that so some distance as i understand it truly is no longer a "sin" issue, yet one among morality (no longer killing to feed your self). if you're Hindu, you are able to eat at McDonald's see you later as you persist with fowl, because cows are sacred beings in accordance to Hindu tenets. no longer genuine particular about the different religious prohibitions - i don't think of Christianity prohibits eating something especially, regardless of the truth that there are some prohibitions about "abusing the body God gave (lent?) to you. besides the undeniable fact that, if you're actually not religious (i'm an atheist), quick food truly has no moral attributes. ; )

A sin? I would certainly hope not. I think that if someone doesn't like to eat at McDonald's, then they shouldn't eat at McDonald's! But to take it further and start saying it's a sin! Oh brother! I think those people need to get a real life. With all the other things that are worthy of being called a sin - I think they need to re-direct their focus on that stuff!

I don't eat out much, but if I'm out and really hungry and it's going to be awhile before I get home - Hey -LETS GO TO MICKEY D'S!!!!
Bye!

I like it too sometimes; and compared to some of the crap that people cook in their own homes, MacD isn't always so bad. Look at your body, are you OK? Then stop worrying about every "knee-jerk" reactionary idea that pops into the heads of some idiot and ends up on the 6 o'clock news.

If you are a huge behemoth of a person and eats gallons of ice cream, or sacks full of MacD's, topped off with buckets of KFC, then don't blame your condition on them or "a glandular condition", you are fat because you take in more calories than you use. It's a simply formula, but OH SO politically incorrect.

FYI. I am over weight and old. I'm old because lived a long time, I'm fat because I don't eat right and exercise too little. "PERIOD" end of case. Fortunately I'm LOVED also. The drawback may be a shorter, but definitely happier life than if I worried about looking like Barney Fife for the rest of my life.

I have to agree with you. As someone who just finished a degree, I realize how much McDonald's has helped me in terms of saving time and money cooking meals every day. I think with the right exercise McDonald's shouldn't be the HUGE problem that everyones making it out to be.

It's not a sin, it just is really cheap food that rots your insides out. Everytime I eat it I have stomach problems for days. But if it works for you go for it. It's a free world.

If it's a sin, I'm in big trouble. Between their fish sandwiches and fruit and walnut snacks, I would be totally crushed if the Lord didn't approve.

no it's not a sin...it's just if you eat it every day of the week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, supper, snacks, whatever and you don't burn it off it's bad for you.
