1201 means that the return is processing, the next step should be release of your refund if there are no questionable items on your return.

Almost everyone on here that has received that reference on the Where's My Refund page has said that when they called the IRS they told them that their return was under review. Eventually your code will change and you should get a refund deposit date but it may take a few extra weeks since you did get a code. I don't believe it means that your return is still processing like nothing is wrong--noone I know, including myself, ever got a reference code when our returns were just normally processing. The site would say that they received your return and it was being processed...then the next time they updated it would give you a general date of when to expect your refund---then it would be updated a final time saying exactly when they were going to do your direct deposit.

Sounds like your return may have had an error or that they needed to double-check some info that you provided....but it should clear eventually. :)
