does anyone know how tax return works? okay i am a college student. i go to a four years college. however, financially i am so stressed that i fell like i can't aford it any more. i get fincial aid but it is not enough at all i just want to ask if anyone knows if parents claim more than three kids and if they are working class does it mean that the kids get more finacial aid. in other words, if parents support their kids and if their kids don't work does the fincaial aid give the kids more money? also if two kids are working and the parents claim only one kid do the other children claim themselves? please help me out becuase this thing is making me crazy and i don't know how to afford school

iam a single parent of three,and am a active college student for 3 years now! When I file my taxes you get a extra earned income tax credit for fulltime student/hohousehold,plus I get full benefits through government and the us grant system go to www.whitehouse.us.gov apply for student grant they will determine your amount,if you are soingle and working while in school you will qualifie for earned income tax

It depends on how much money your parents make and how many dependents they have. I know several students who have found it easier to get financial aid while living on their own. This is not always the case, though, so check with your financial aid office at the college you plan to attend.
