She will start her cycle around 8-10 months each dog is different just like people. And will last approx 21 days. If you are not going to breed her I say have her spayed 1 month after the first heat. Hope I helped ya. Good Luck

is not only female pitbulls all the females dogs have the period at like 6 months after that is not every month that she would get it only after six months n then other six months in the same pattern

Most dogs will not go into heat until they are between 6 months and one year. After the first heat it will occur about every six months.
