There places in and around Edgerton.
Piggly Wiggly on Main Street will probably cash your check.

Here's some other places:

But you might have to go to Janesville.

The Stoughton Walmart probably would cash your check

Call them first, they are only open until 7pm on weekdays, and close early on weekends

Milton's Mobile Travel Center provides payroll check cashing:

I can't believe that the bank would not take a government check (which is fully guaranteed) and cash it for you----even if you have an overdraft amount that you need to pay, can't they just deduct that amount from your check and give you the rest? They should not hold any amount left over since it is a federal check and it's not going to bounce! You need to pay the bank anyway, so that would be the way to go.

Other than that, there are check cashing places all over the place but you will have to pay a good size fee just to cash it. Another thought is if you have a family member that you could sign the check over to and they could put it in their account and then just give you the funds. Before my daughter had a bank account, she would do that with her payroll checks and I would deposit them into my account, and then I would just give her the cash. Just a thought!

Many Walmart's will cash tax checks up to $2000.00 or you could try a check cashing store. They will charge you a service charge but I am not sure how much.

if you don't pay up your overdraft the bank will turn you in to the DA for writing bad checks. Just pay it up first.
