We tried poison control but they wouldn't help... "We don't do animals"!
Anyways, we got a hold of a vet who said to phone the hospital and they said that he should be fine as he's drank and eaten since then. Apparently it's an acid that would burn as soon as it touched skin, so chances are he didn't ingest too much of it.
Thanks for your help.

Do you know what the active ingredient is? Whats it used for? Most at home vomiting methods (if the product is safe to vomit back up, depends on what it is) like hydrogen peroxide or ipecac are not very affective in cats. Your best bet is to get it to a local ER vet for possible stomach lavage (pumping) and activated charcoal if needed.

If this kind of thing happens, You can always give the cat some low percentage peroxide. The kind you put on a sore. It will make the cat throw up and get rid of what ever it may have gotten in to. Better safe then sorry. Hope kitty is okay.
