if the colors are red and white i dont want to do it white because thats too plain i want to go for somthing else. i also dont want to go red it will be way to much red. what if i just paint one of the walls red and the rest white? would that be a good color tone or would it be to much red? please help me.

instead of painting one wall red why don't you, pick a red that has a blue tone vs. one that has a orange one, this will give you a richer red and wont be so bright, then paint the lower half of the wall red then put a border or chair rail up to separate the white. Or instead of white you can go with an off-white.

it depend on the purpose of the room. Living room,dining room, bedroom. if it is a bed room is it for a child or adult.
Some colors can make a room bigger or smaller. If you go with white trim in red. Unless you like loud colors you can go with red trim in white. Or use a boarder to bring out one of the color. if white find a red boarder. or the opposite.

if you do a blue, it will make your room look american.
if you go green, it could look like christmas.
light pink could look nice, depending on the shade.

you should paint 2 or the walls turquoise and the other 2 purple... I'm not so much for the purple but its an idea...

since you think that one color is boring,you should paint it white and red,striped so it can be equal.
