Yes, I admit that I find the Benny Hinn type of "healings" just a little embarassing. Don't get me wrong -- I believe that God heals people and I've seen someone instantly cured of a serious problem.
But the idea that God performs miracles on demand just doesn't make a lot of sense. He is the sovereign Lord of the universe, after all. I don't think that He's got a regular slot booked on His calendar to produce miracles just because a TV pastor smacks someone on the forehead.

i'm no longer a mainstream Christian. i'm extra of a leftist than mainstream. I help inventive Christianity. At any cost, I do discover Fundamentalism a humiliation, no longer just to myself, yet to all of Christendom. There are human beings from virtually each and every denomination who almost look attempting to outdo Fundamentalists of their insistence upon intolerance and petty habit, so it is not in simple terms the Fundamentalists who're to blame. In my own opinion, any team that promotes hatred, bigotry and intolerance interior the call of Christ needs to discover something else to call itself different than Christian.

I believe that God can and does heal people. However, those programs don't embarrass me so much as make me angry. They make a mockery out of the goodness of God and it leads some people astray who are weak in their faith. I never watch them and strongly suggest people not to take that as mainstream Christianity.

Jesus said not to be ashamed of him or he will be ashamed of you. Those men are evangelists and only some people get healed not all. It is possible because it has happened to me, I was filled with the holy spirit and I fell down and when I came to I was crying but not from being sad, I was happy. It was the greatest feeling in the world. Before that I thought the same as you but God opened my eyes.

Nope. They're oblivious to the con. That's what makes it so successful. If I had as little integrity as those "faith healers", I'd actually admire the beauty of the con. It really is brilliant - and lucrative.

I don't know about how mainstream Christians feel about these charlatans, but I believe they should be subjected to extreme ridicule, and prosecuted for fraud.

I don't watch tv evangelists. They have false doctrines and you can't go to church via your tv. I think its sad people trust them that much. God can heal people though,.
