I was thinking of having it done for prom- henna tatoos stain the skin a reddish brown color and last for 2 weeks before fading....If I cant find a henna artist, should I just go to any tatoo artist and/or bring the supplies? How much can I expect to spend?

regular tattoo artists do not do henna. If u wanted to take some to one they might, but not likely. if u want a non complicated disign u could make the paste and draw/trace out a disgn on paper with crayola black marker and do the water thing to get it on yr skin then go over it with the henna paste. If u do go to a henna artist make sure the tell u whats in it, never and i mean NEVER use "black henna. There are sights on line that teach u how to use henna.

A lot of the artist grow their own henna plants so don't expect to pay very much at all.

my artist doesn't do henna tattoos. i guess he could if he wanted to but i'm sure he would still charge just as much as he would to do an actual tattoo. which would be pretty expensive.
