I am a 13-year-old female and lately I have noticed that I think I am having hallucinations. A couple days ago I took the cap of my deodorant bar and several shinny things that looked like flattened bubbles flew out. They disappeared after a few moments, but I know I saw them, and they looked very solid. Yesterday I was going to my room tie lie down when I turned around and saw a flash of gray disappear into my door. I have all ways scene strange things out of the corner of my eye, but when I turn around to properly see them the go away. Other times I see things like balls of light, but they do not look solid. I have never done and drugs, or smocked or anything. Even when I was little I was all ways supremely paranoid, I stay a wake in bed for hours terrified that if I closed my eyes someone or something would kill my family and me.

I would all ways check on every one to make sure they were a live if the house got to quite and I hated the dark. At times it seemed I was having panic attacks, but I was only 7! I would feel really hot, and everything inside of me would squeeze together and tremble. My heard would race and I would have difficulty getting a full breath of air. Other times it seems like I am having horrible flash backs from some one else’s life. Things like war and murder flash into my mind at random times. I have never been diagnosed with a mental illness expect for ADHD when I was 8 (I never took any medication). What could this be? I am afraid that I am crazy! Please help me! Last night I could not sleep again because I was so scared!

I work in the field of Social work and what you describe sounds like it could very well be a vision problem. Especially that you see it out of the corner of your eye,(peripheral vision) and turn and it is gone. This leads me to be concerned that you need your vision checked. What your seeing, doesn't sound like hallucinations to me. But this does sound like it is effecting your daily life. You shouldn't fear sleeping and for that I would suggest telling your parents and having a mental health evaluation, to help you understand you are fine, and really don't have to carry all these worries to bed with you. You somewhat describe past anxiety, so be sure to have this evaluated and then I am sure you will rest well. You need to get your sleep, or strange things might be the result of lack of sleep, stress on your system and heightened worry.
More importantly by not talking about this with someone else, you might tend to worry needlessly, and carry this to a higher level of fear. An then the fear that has developed may not resolve and only get worse. I think you sound fine to me, but please share this with your parents, I am sure they will understand, remember they really were 13 at one time too and if you were my child I wouldn't want you to worry like this. I would want to help resolve it.

You really need to tell your parents about this.
I'm a little over your age, and I am terrified of the dark, and I used to see things like ghosts when I was a little girl. And I do too imagine scary things by me when I close my eyes. It's sort of normal, but you should tell your parents about it. Tell them to take you to the doctor to prescribe you some sleeping pills. Thats what I did. But I still don't sleep well, but hey, it still helped me sleep better.

Honey you need to tell your parents all this, you are at the age when horomones kick in and if you have had this for several years you don't need it any worse. This could be in your mind or medical, you need your family doctor to decide where to go, but you must tell and adult first. Yahoo answers are great, but at your age and what you are describing, you need more than strangers.

The flashes could be an eye problem and it could be serious. You need to talk to a doctor, even your primary or pediatrician, and tell them what you are seeing and thinking about what you are seeing. They can help you. Good luck!

You may be experiencing auras which are associated with migraine headaches. Some people have them without the headache. You should discuss this with your parents and go to the doctor. Don't worry you aren't crazy

Get your eyes checked. Flashes of light in the corner of your eyes could be a detached retina. Or you could be Donny Darko!

It sounds like you need someone to talk to. Either talk to your parents or another trusted adult, they can get you counseling.
I don't think your crazy, it sounds like you are just a little parinoid, it could have something to do with your ADHD. Please talk to someone in your family, a teacher or your doctor. You are not alone, there are many people who love you and can help.
