Yea, join track. It will help you gain that stamina back, maybe meet some new friends, and learn how to work hard. Running is really a great metaphor for life, you get out of it what you put into it.

I love running and track, but all come down to what you love you. maybe try going to couple practices explain your situation and see how you like it. You have to ask you self after these starting out practices do i love running? if the answer is no then do not continue, you have to love it to enjoy it. but you also have to try it before you make that decision. if you put a lot of time in effort into something you dislike you one won't get the results you are looking for because you don't want to try and you won't be happy. I definitely;y recommend trying it it can be a sport that you can continue with the rest of your life but you have to love it to enjoy it. good luck

Yes. If you're still in school then you're still young enough to bounce back from a few months of slacking off. I'm sure you'll be back in shape in no time.

Every runner has a point where they lose there motivation and when that happens you have to fight it or you will never be a fast runner. I say go for it.
