A stigmatized person? Your link takes too long to load.It was apparently stigmatized by the bad weather we're having now. Some stigmata may appear genuine when you cannot find the source of the inflictions. This to me doesn't mean they are self induced as much as some unknown source is perpetrating it. Usually these are perceived as Holy rather than a demonic occurrence.Maybe even both as some may suggest a fight over a persons soul. It appears that the Catholic Church doesn't always recognize many of these or that it may be some strong sign of an impending disaster. When statues cry tears of blood, many speculate that this an attempt to draw the so-called faithful into church and to donate money to support it.

when something such as this is as real to a person, and in fact there are witnesses that state it's validaty, it isn't fraudulent, however, one must question the origin of such a supernatural sign.
Many Christians would like to believe it is a sign from God but in actuality the bible is clear about "signs and wonders" they are not from God and should not be believed as such.
For every Good thing God has on earth, satan has a counterfiet. It is clear that Revelation tells us that the AntiChrist, who will be posessed by satan himself will set up a statue, and cause this statue to come to life, there will be many signs and wonders that will cause even the strongest of Christians to wonder if he may be God or not... If satan can do that, then he certainly can cause fraudulent supernatural happenings upon a human being to make it look like it is from God.
Just like bleeding statues... Think about it, Scripture is very specific on idols and worshiping statues, would God really cause a statue to bleed to get other people's attention and cause them to worship something He is so vehemently against?
He has better ways to get our attention, scripture talks strongly about how it is better to have not seen and have faith than to have seen and have faith, God is not contradictory to Himself, God can not be divided against Himself, so we can pretty much conclude that these happenings are from evil... a very well laid out plan to deter "even the elect"... he wants to keep us from eternal life.

Pending proper laboratory evaluation of the effect, yes. I've seen a stigmatist in person and I was rather struck by how thoroughly covered and concealed he kept his wrists.

Every person claiming to suffer from stigmata? No.
I think there are certain instances when a person believes in Jesus so strongly their mind produces bodily effects resulting in stigmata.
