Buddhists do not think that their philosophy of life is "the Best" or the only way of life.
Every person must find their own methods of ending their sorrows, pain, sufferings, and find the way which suites them best to acquire a stable peace of mind, and Happiness.
For some, Buddhism gives them purpose in life, peace of mind, and happiness.
For some, Christianity gives them purpose, peace of mind and happiness.
For others, Judaism, or Islam, or Hinduism gives them purpose, peace of mind and happiness.
And the list goes on.
Any philosophy of Life or religion which helps you to also acquire Patience/Tolerance, which is the ability to remain internally calm and undisturbed in the face of harm or difficulties,
you should follow.
For me, personally, it happens to be Buddhism, which helped me to acquire, and cultivate Patience/tolerance, a stable Peace of Mind, and Happiness.
What is Most important is that human beings respect the Free Will of one another, for this is the first step to acquiring peace of mind for oneself.

I am a pagan.
Most Buddhists i know of dont bring themselves to fight about religion, as this isnt an elightening conversation.
Sure they discuss it, I have had long indepth talks with friends and it has been very deep and spirital.
They dont get into a mud slinging match.
So maybe you need to find some other religion to bait.

Buddhists are very peaceful people. From what I have seen of them in terms of how they conduct themselves they don't think that they are better then anybody. Nor do they think that their religion is better then anybody's. They are very humble people in my honest opinion.

buddhists view things much differently. They view things from the middle. They know and understand that you will never be fruitful of your search in empirically proving a creator, nor the denial of one.........so waste productive time on it?
