how can i zoom in on a picture on the internet?

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, you can click on the magnifying glass in the lower right hand corner and zoom in.

Or even quicker - hold down the control key while using the scroll wheel on your mouse.

In Firefox, the ctrl-scroll-wheel zooms text, but the pictures remain the same size.

There is a FireFox add-on for zooming images though:

Try clicking on "view", usuallly found at the top of the page. Then click on "text size" and choose "increase". Unfortunately this may zoom in on everything until you reset the size. But it is so easy to do, I use it all the time.
