Yes, she will be fine - if she still ate more after the first bite (hot stuff) it didn't faze her much, or she was really taking advantage quickly before you noticed. Dogs do push the boundaries if food is involved - they seldom miss a chance to grab something that smells so good to them, unless they were super trained by an expert and purpose. lol. I had an emergency once where I had to leave my dog alone (cat was sick had to go to ER). I was making frosted gingerbread cookies for a party at the time and had all the ingredients out on the counter. I did think to push the sweet "fixings" far back to the wall even in the haste and worry, but she got to it anyway (I too thought it was far enough away, though my dog was a little larger by 3 times lol). She ate a WHOLE lot of sugar, frosting, flour, some chocolate, candies and lots of dough - she ate everything but a few crumbs!! I thought she would at least throw up or have some serious diarrhea, but she had neither. I would have definitely put it away if I was leaving if it were not for the vet emergency. (Cat didn't make it - rapid onset of congestive heart failure :,( the vet said it was the worst and most rapid case he ever saw happen right before his eyes.)

well, it depends on what type of dog you have. You can find pork products in some dog food but generally i don't think it's a good idea to feed pork or beef to dogs.
Some dogs will get sick, (either the shits or vomiting)...some dogs will beg at the table more, and some dogs will have an allergic reaction that could last a while and even affect the way your dog looks. So unless you have a lab or something that doesn't need a special diet like a shar pei, a shiba or a bulldog (amongst many others)...don't do it.

Maybe a little diarrhea. I often use hot dogs for training treats when I run out of liver.
Ham is often salty, and both foods are cooked, so they aren't the greatest. Raw pork would be great though.

No! Your puppy stomach can't digest these kinds of food. They will eat them no problem but then they may throw up or get the runs.
All they need is puppy food and lots of clean water.
Lots of love!

I have to hide my dogs medicine tablets in hot dog chunks to get him to take it, he's getting better from the meds with no apparent ill effects from the hot dog. As long as its given as a treat occasionally it shouldn't do the dog any harm. When my dog's finished his meds there's no more hot dogs for him except as a treat.

Well its OK as a little TREAT once in a while but I have heard especially hotdogs are fatty and bad for the dogs just like they are bad for people!
