Wow, just four words, and you nailed the problem with Intelligent Design, and why Intelligent Design is actually an argument against God. Bravo!

Think about it.

Assuming God exists(in fact the proof on that is 60 pages long and that' s just a summary!),
Thactivity of God is manifested in human reason thru experience of the world. This experience shows us that there must be a first cause, itself uncausedand a necessary being. First and Necessary being.
God is a necessary being.

1) All things must have to be the result of the cause. To think causes and effect are truly INFINITE is illogical. Therefore at a certain point time had to start and the universe just had to be started. However there has to be an ULTIMATE cause for all to happen.
Know that matter and energy cannot be created. There has to be some cause into the reason of their existence.

2) To state that God had to start somewhere is ridiculous because God is defined as an Ultimate cause. Meaning all Matter and Energy should have been started by something because they cannot just pop int o existence. That is a physics law.

3) To say that God started somewhere would mean that somehow He himself was created. If you say that something created Him that only means that we have an infinite chain of cause and event.
We assert that the first cause, WHATEVER IT IS, must exist in the fulness of prefection, it must be 100%unlimited matter.

Why? because this would mean that it is self existent and Wholly INdependent of causes. Now causes can do 2 things: 1)They can make an effect as it is. 2) They LIMIT the effect so as to mark of its perfections from other things. Hence a being that is independent of causes, as a necesssary being is, is INDEPENDENT of the limitation which causes impose.
Thus the first cause is free from limitation, in other words infinite. Now such a being is unique. THERE CANNOT BE MORE THAN ONE INFINITE BEING. BECAUSE IF THERE WAS MORE THAN ONE, there would be a distinction betwweent the two. This distinction would be LIMItation. None would be infinite.

Example :
2 infinite beings: A &B

A has perfections in unlimited degree. B also as it is also infinite, has perfections to an unlimited degree. If A & B are not identical, (and thus one) There is a defect and a limitation in A, inasmuch that it does not have the perfections that are properly B's. And vice versa.

Unless A&B are 1 and identical, neither is infinite. We conclude that there is only 1 NECESSARY BEING. because a necessary being is infinite. Hence the first necessary cause is 1 & INFINITE and therefore cannot be the cause of another infinite being.

If god is via definition omniscient/all-powerful, then that is via extension irreducibly complicated... yet no longer interior a similar way that the Spanish Inquisition is arguing for sensible layout. extra contained in the way that you'll neither spoil nor create count number; if god encompasses each little thing, you may't eliminate something from it.

I think so. If He is God, then He's far too complex for any of us comprehend. After all, He created the universe, and we barely understand the atom.

God is eternal B. He always was and will always be. There is no "popping into existence" for Him.
