I'd make her pay before getting back. If she's serious, I'd make her do something to embarrass her to no extent. If she sticks by, then I'll think about it and then keep her around for amusement until I find someone better.

He was confused by interest in another girl I'd guess. That is a normal thing and I think shows character in a way, that he did not two time you while being with you.
On the other hand, he should have told you. But, again, in matters of the heart, people sometimes make grave mistakes.
The choice is yours.

well if he didn't even give you a reason for breaking up, then you should DEFINITELY ask him why you should even get back together again. if he hurt you in any way (physically or mentally) then just let him go. being single has its positive sides; you are aloud to flirt with anyone you wish without being told NOT to.(if you know what i mean)
