We all know the kind of argument that goes "every building has a builder, and every painter has a painter" - In general, everything that is created has a creator, thus suggesting that the universe has a creator... but is the universe created? It's only a valid argument if the universe is indeed created... but then that's a logical fallacy of begging the question (assuming what you are trying to prove, i.e. that it has a creator).

Nevertheless, if you believe that the universe is created then here is your chance to demonstrate it. I expect facts and reasoning, not just "it's obvious innit?" :-)

Crash, it's really despicable to misquote people like that. Einstein never believed in a personal god and said so quite clearly.

While it is true that buildings can't build themselves. We cannot attempt to relate this in any way to the laws of nature/physics. Just google "The Big Bang Theory" and measure it up to the bible, then you'll see which one really sounds more plausible.

Good question. In my view it can only be answered by first stating the precise view from which you are asking such a question.

Have you already considered that a creator does exist? Ate you asking if in the mind of such a creator, if you accept his existance, is the Idea completed, the thought in place and the full manifestation is in his mind in the completed view? Are you asking this question seeking the view from mankind or from each and every individual who does attempt to answer this question?

I personally accept that the existance of a cr4ator is a non-negotiable issue. That is to say a creator does exist period and tha only a fool would take any other psoition. [I did declare that this is my view]

Being a "NO" and the only "NO" I know my view about the creation is quite different than most. I hold the view that from the existing creator's mind it is all completed to the endless infinite eternity future. However from the view of mankind, it is still in the beginning of the very beginning and will be eternally to infinite eternity future.

Its not really complicated to a simple mind like mine OK. Just keep it simple.

So as my answer, the universe is in the process of being created from man's view.

Do have a good day and smile a lot OK.

We could only prove that the Universe was created if we could prove that it has an end... If we take it as infinite, then we must only believe it was created, but that's also a hard thing to do. But, if we say that it is infinite, don't we say that the Universe is always? Can we even think 'infinite' and 'always'? And, yet, if we think the Universe as final, could we think anything outside of it, except God? But, could we ever think 'God'? We can only try, one way or another - the matter is so vast and far from our minds that the only thing we can think about it is that the Universe does not exist! This is because if all being is final, then the only thing infinite is non-being. If the Universe is, on the other hand, final, then there must be something outside it, and so on, and so on, to infinity. Once again, the same conclusion - if there is an infinite chain of causes and reactions, then they can exist for them selves, but all together, as one, they must be a non-being. And if their sum is not, then all of the parts are not. The most logical explanation of the world and the Universe, for me, is that it's just an idea, like all of us - a non-existent being.

To believe in God you must take in consideration all of the Bible. It clearly suggests that God is a four dimensional being. If this were true then there is no way that we could even begin to comprehend or understand Him. So if He indeed is in another dimension then, theoretically He would not need a creator:

Am I right?

It is the same with time: We make an uspoken assumption that time has always existed? And if the Big Bang and this were true... Then there would have been an infinite amount of time before and event ever happened! So there was an infinite amount of time before I typed this, right?

It is like me making a two dimensional world......
Then i go in and stick my finger into their world: They would only see my finger as a circle and nothin more. They would never be able to fully comprehend the fullness of the third dimension. My finger, would be a circle and nothing more to them. They could see the fulness or the depth...........

I cannot say with any certainty that the universe was created, or that it wasn't.

However, I think the concept of the universe is illogical within itself. How could the universe just abruptly begin existing, of it's own accord? god particles? yeah....... right.....

If there was a creator, then how did he begin existing? Did he have a creator? Or was he always there? If he was always there, then how is this possible?

Like I said, in my logic that's not really based in fact, it's hard to say. I do believe that when given the two possibilities, the concept of a god makes a little more sense, because we can then bring in the human notion of "He's God. He can get away with always existing. Just roll with it and don't hurt your head thinking on how this doesn't make sense."

Take this for what you will. Have a nice day.

Gen1:1
God created the heavens and the earth...
Gen1:26
So God created man in his own image...

God created the world in 6 day as it says in Genesis.
Their is proof in the grass, the sky,the sun, the moon and stars and everywhere for a creator...in his creation God poured out my mind. We have all sinned and fallen short. So the world is no longer "perfect" after Adam and Eve. So their is proof that how perfect the world is...the earth is PERFECT for life. The right amount of gases, the perfect life cycle, the right distance from the sun(the sun also happens to shine when the earth is still in existance),the perfect tilt, the perfect temperature and much more proof. The human body...every organ has a purpose and they are all in the best place.we have a brain to think for our selves. We have a heart to pump blood and nerves so we can feel. Ear,eyes, nose make 3 other senses possible(hearing, sight, smell). We have reproduction organs to continue the cycle of life.
More proof is the four forces of nature that we can use to make things(really three) gravity, weak force ,electro/magnetic force ,the strong necular.
Gravity makes thing fall...
weak electro magnetic makes magnetism and electricity(hard too explane)...
Strong nuclear makes explosions.

Again the Bible gives plenty of proof for the existance of the earth.
It is the best historically accurate book from that time we have in the world... How could this be an accident.
More so other time.

I believe that the universe was, and still is, being formed by natural reactions, elements, movement and time. So, no I don't think it was created and therefore don't think it has a creator. The universe is a result of natural forces acting against each other. Just as the availability of resources effect the state of humans - humans alter the state of our planet - our planet alters the state of the universe.

It's a the natural cycle and order of things... that's what I think.

Since it follows the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, I can assert from science that it had a beginning. I cannot assert what that beginning was from science.

In simple terms, the second law is "if you think things are bad now, wait a while and watch them get worse." Or.. systems move from order to disorder. Since the universe exists today, it cannot have always existed of there would be no remaining energy... ALL the stars would have "gone out."

I actually don't think it matters. This planet alone and all the marvels on it, how everything is put together and that life exists at all is amazing. Look at the milky-way, the universe, star clusters etc. EVERYTHING is a miracle, no matter how it got that way, and any answer as to how it did is pretty incredible too. That we have such creative minds and can discover and invent new things is beyond cool. I am just in awe and grateful as there is so much to experience and explore.
P.S. yes the other milky-ways are nice too!

Yes, God created the Universe. God existed before the Universe. Before God created it, there was no space, universe or time. God is so much more than the greatest thing we can or could ever imagine about Him.

Well here's one scientists scratch there head on. they can trace space and time back to one point- they call it the big bang. they still havn't figured out what created the big bang. Is it so hard to belive God did. "The more I discover the universe the more I belive God created it " ALbert Enstein.
