How do you know when it is time to give up on trying to make a relationship work?

When you don't feel like working on the problems or the habits that have become annyoing. When you feel you don't want to work on them, or try to make things better, then I would call it quits. A relationship takes time and effort. When you don't feel like giving the effort, it would be unfair to the other person to stay in the relationship.

When you feel its time to rethink your relationship. If you feel that way its time to move on. Life is too short to live it wondering if your happy or not. When your happy you know even if your in an arguement with the one you love or think you love, you feel complete even if your apart, But if there is any doubt, then its not real love. hope you can read between the lines.

girl i feel ya and i would like to no the same thing i feel like i am going through this allover again w/the 2nd guy i am trying to get...everytime i say let's do something he gives plenty of excuses...if he's not doing anything w/u could be a reason...if the relationship has no progress or depending how long u have been trying to...

Very simple answer.......when the other party stops trying. When you feel like your the only one in the relationship then its time to go.

Does he make you mad more often then he makes you happy? Think truthfully on this question and if it is no or it takes more than a few minutes to be sure .... then it is time to end it.

When it's obvious you are two incompatible people trying to make something work when it can't.
When in order to make it work, you have to change the person instead of only their habits.

IF BOTH PARTIES ARENT CONTRIBUTING TO THE RELATIONSHIP AND IT ISNT PROGRESSING TOWARD A FUTURE TOGETHER AND ONE OF THE PERSONS INVOLVED IS THERE JUST FOR ONE REASON . ITS TIME TO BLOW THE WHISTLE.
