Hey! when I was a child my Aunt would always let me and my older brother have one day a year off to have some real fun at the fair, I say yes, let your child go, it's only one day of school, schools most of the year the fair only comes around once a year!

Family is very important. 1 day of school won't hurt anyone. Just don't make a habit of it......
Make sure you get his/her assignments from school for that day and have your child make it up as part of the deal for going to the fair as well.

Is your kids grades good? Did ur kid miss a lot of days of school this year. It the answer is yes and no then YES let ur kid go.

As long as you don't make a habit of letting him/her stay at home then just this once wont hurt anyone.

its only one day... its not like your child is dropping out of school... live a little... my mom did that for me once and i still graduated. LOL and i'm in college.... it wont hurt... just make sure he/she gets their makeup work
