I would like to know many things about this US-Mexico love affair and apparent agreement to keep the border flowing.
Beyond that, President Bush is certainly aware that millions of Americans have been demanding a reversal or pardon for these officers for over a month. It seems that he would at least talk about it, realizing that people are waiting for an answer. Even if he says he can't pardon them, he should have been out there right away publicly dealing with this situation. As it is, it looks like Bush either doesn't know or doesn't care. Either way is not good.

The NBPC learned today that imprisoned Border Patrol Agent Ignacio Ramos was not classified as a law enforcement officer at Yazoo City Federal Correctional Center at the time he was beaten. Ramos was attacked by several Mexican gang members at the prison when they learned he was a Border Patrol Agent after watching a story about Ramos on the television show America’s Most Wanted. Ramos was mixed in with the general inmate population, and no notations were made in his inmate file of his law enforcement status or a that he was a high publicity case until three days after the assault.

His Rights, do you think the powers that be are concerned about American rights? No they are politically correct, and are more concerned about and illegal drug dealers civil rights ( I didn't know that illegal drug dealers had civil rights in this country ).
Ramos, was nt classified as a LEO, because a message had to be sent by this administration, and the very illegal Johnny Sutton to all the border agents ( this is what will happen to you if you enforce the law)

The fact the US gavernment threw these two officers to the dogs is absolutly disgusting. They ruined these guys because they attempted to do something about some goddamn mexican drug smuggler slithering into the country.

They should have gotten a commedation for what happened, not a jail sentence.

Bullcrap.

One of the things Feinstein said when she asked the Judiciary Committee to investigate this was that the attack absolutely should have been anticipated and she wants to see why it wasn't.

Of course the rest of us feel the same way, but it is nice to see some outrage from the other side of the aisle.

He has rights. You have many burning questions. Why don't you haul your behind to Washington DC and start a personal lobby? You would accomplish far more there than you will here.
