I am a HINDU. I believe there is a SUPERNATURAL POWER whom I consider as GOD. If a Christian or Islamic or any other faith's GOD appear on Earth and if I am convinced that he is the supernatural Power I consider worthy, the certainly, my reaction would be to pray him or obey him. In the even of seeing a real God I do not mind following that faith.
I think this should be the stand of Christians too, when they happened to see a Hindu God, who can convince that he is the GOD..

I find it so interesting that so many Athiests insist on answering questions in religion and Spirituality that do not really answer the question. they only denigrate what others believe.
Did you get a straight answer yet?
This Christian, (me) does not make assumptions about what Jesus Christ is trying to tell humanity in general or Christians in particular.
I know, what he said in the Gospels and how he related his parables to all mankind. (God first, Then others, then me)
He told us (all mankind) to worship God the father, be good to your neighbor before yourself.
He also said to follow him. and that no one could go to the father without going to him (Jesus) first.
"No man comes to the father except through me"
If he did appear, it would not be to tell christians to be better. He already did that, and it doesn't need repeating.
The bible says that he will appear but it will not be to warn anyone of anything. it will be to return as King.
I don't think at that point there will be anymore choices of whether or not to follow him.
Having studied many of the Hindu sects before becoming a christian, i know none of the so called hindu incarnations are true gods. they are only Aspects of the Brahmas mind. dreams if you will.
Therefore, if any of them did appear, i would know that they are not gods and would be undeserving of my worship.
I might give Krisna a pat on the back and say howdy do but Shiva would only receive my scorn and Ganesha would just get laughed at.
Being a Christian, i would be quite skeptical of anyone who claimed to be Jesus (unless he came riding on a white horse in the clouds with a host of angels and saints by his side)
Most people who are not Christians, and many who claim to be Christians do not really understand what Christianity really teaches and that pretty much sums up followers of all the major religions.
People are lazy and believe what others tell them to believe because they don't want to do the research themselves.
if, as a Hindu you are interested in Christianity, i suggest you get a bible and a good "concordance" and study on your own.
Good luck in your search for spiritul Truth.

The Hindu devas are nothing divine as compared to the Christian God, more like angels. As Hinduism also agrees, in some schools.
in Christian theology there exists angelic , created beings good and evil, a deva would be one of these.

Max Marie I believe you. I'm an Indopagan, so I heard a lot of experience of a god or goddess stories. I don't think Ganesha was trying to convert you or anything. He seems to like people no matter what their religion.

Hiya!
I've actually seen Ganesh. I was doing yoga one day. And this blue guy with an elephant's head appeared. It was very peaceful.
I later found out that this was Ganesh and Ganesh is big on yoga. So it made perfect sense for him to drop in on me at that time.
I had no desire to leave my faith. I'm Catholic. I love being Catholic.
I have yet to find a single Hindu who believes me. Most of them I've asked have been offended at the suggestions that Ganesh would appear to me. However, I have the gift of discernment, so stuff like this has happened to me for years.
I've had a number of Christians tell me this was demonic. I don't think it was.

Since I've been both a practicing Hindu and a Christian, I can tell you that I would be very surprised. I mean - since I was told by guru that man did not/could not land on the moon, because it was the face of a goddess - I realized that was whack - and began to follow the Gospel.

I am a christian, and I rely on The Word Of God, the Bible for answers.
This very issue is mentioned many times. I have provided only the scriptures that address this:
Matthew 24:4-5
4. Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you.
5. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.
Matthew 24:11
11. and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Matthew 24:23-24
23. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it.
24. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.
Mark 13:5-6
5. Jesus said to them: "Watch out that no one deceives you.
6. Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many.
Mark 13:21-23
21. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it.
22. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible.
23. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.
Luke 21:8
8. He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.

I wouldn't question my faith in Christ Jesus or my standing as a Christian. The Bible makes it clear that as the end times draw near there will be people claiming to be Jesus and even working miracles but they will all be false prophets sent by Satan to lead people astray. During those times, I will maintain my Christian faith and continue waiting for Christ's return.

I believe that Yahweh and/or Jehovah---God, the Ultimate Warrior and Creator, utilizes other deities, gods, that are blessed to be in His Council, to send us a message in order to recognize that He is a jealous God. His 1st commandment is to worship nor have no other god before Him. It is merely a wake-up call for your ***! I am in no way trying to convert nor disrespect others' beliefs---just responding to a very interesting question.
