Food should average around $10-$20 per day (this of course depends on how much, what, and where you eat). You can save money by purchasing most of your food at grocery stores and fixing yourself simple meals (sandwiches, etc.). Most B&Bs abd hotels include breakfast (most are full breakfasts with eggs, bacon, sausages, etc.), so you can probably limit yourself to only buying lunch and dinner and occasionally a snack or two. If you plan to do most of your eating in restaurants, then expect to pay a minimum of $25 per day. Restaurants prices in Europe can be expensive. Pubs can be a great alternative though, as most serve "pub grub" such as burgers and fish & chips that are normally low-priced.

I think your estimate of $100/day will give you a very nice trip. That should be plenty to eat, drink, and have some fun. Be sure to go to Galway! =)
