There is to be a red moon tomorrow that can be seen worldwide at sunset...

In the Bible there's a passage in the Revelations about the moon turning into blood or something..

Do you think "it's the end of the world" as we know it?

You ignorant little kiddies need to look at my question more carefully.

I was asking for your opinion. I know what an effing lunar eclipse is, thanks folks.

Many more things will and are happening before the red moon referred to in The Revelation of John.

It is a lunar eclipse and more. It is very rare to have 4 red moons in one month. 1493–94 tetrad roughly aligns with the 1492 expulsion of the Jews from Spain; the 1949–50 event roughly corresponds with the re-establishment of the state of Israel in 1948 and the ensuing 1948 Arab-Israeli War; and the 1967–68 started right before the Six Day War. That is from the history books. So all you great minds need to learn what you are talking about before you try to belittle someone.

No, I don't believe any biblical prophecy is unfolding.

As others have said, the moon often looks orange or red during a lunar eclipse, but I didn't see anyone explain why, in any detail.

Our planet will be directly between the Sun and the Moon. As sunlight is scattered through our atmosphere, most of the blue light is absorbed, but most of the red light gets through and some of it reaches the moon, giving it that color.

I confess to feeling impatient with those who jump to religious or supernatural conclusions about natural phenomena, because science is so disregarded and misunderstood in America. But there've been enough sarcastic answers, so I won't add to them.

Incidentally, the eclipse will not be seen worldwide, but in Eastern North America, Europe, and Africa.

As another poster said, there have been numerous end-of-the-world predictions, over centuries. They are usually emotion-based and/or poorly reasoned.

No, because the sun will be blackened and the moon will turn red for this to happen astronomically an object, not the moon, would have to eclipse the earth and somehow enough far red light would still have to be reflected off the earth onto the moon to make it appear red. Which while possible, is an astronomical near impossibility.

Thus when the day of the Lord comes it will be obvious.

Revelation talks of the Tribulation.
We are not in the Trib. are we?
The Rapture will happen when the last person of the Royal Family of God has accepted Christ as their Savior.
If you live through the "exit-resurecction" do not take the mark of the beast.
A violence like nothing ever seen will be released on the earth because Satan will only have violence left. He is like an injured animal, cornered.
Psalms 89:29" I willestablish His seed forever. The line of David will never die out.Christ decends from David.
Peace out.

I don't know. The Bible does say the moon will turn blood red, but I think that's after the Rapture and I'm still here so it can't be the end of the world.

Ah the Blood Moon, what an experience. I shall be waiting with a camera in hand.

BTW, Revelation is a political document. Don't read to far into something that isn't there. There have been other Blood Moon's before. They are a rarity and a beautiful thing indeed.

Then you have to do it every 18 years and 10 days, for that is the period in which the moon is in the same spot at the same time of day. So if by prophecy, you mean that it is predicted exactly the same every 18 years and 10 days, then Yes! by golly it will happen tomorrow and again in 18 years and 11 days! etc...

No, now if you see a wolf swallow the moon...then you have something. ;-)

Seriously, this happens all the time and its nothing out of the ordinary. All it means is there is going to be a lunar eclipse.
