For instance, does it make a difference if you receive a bachelors degree from a private university rather than a public university, or its the same thing. As if a Bachelors degree will always be a Bachelors degree no matter what university, private or public, you attended, or is there a difference?

Also, the state schools (as public u's are called) vary in quality and reputation just as private schools do. A B. degree from Penn State is not the same as one from just about any of the California system of state schools, which are very highly regarded.
People argue reasonably so that a Yale degree is worth a lot more in the job marketplace than a degree from say, from U of Alabama. Each school has its own reputation, and within each school departments have good or bad reputations. It's a quagmire out there! Do your homework and check out college guides for help.

It will be exactly the same.

Public schools are government/state funded and tend to be bigger and more diverse than private schools, and also tend to be cheaper. Private schools are not funded by state or federal government and tend to be smaller and more expensive
