My ex g/f calls me up. My friends are there and ask who you talking to? I say "i'm talking to my ex g/f". My ex hears me say this and gets mad and says i don't like when you say that, it sounds weird. Please don't say that! cant you just tell them you're talking to Jennifer? What does this mean??

it's just the term "ex-girlfriend" has a negative connotation. Are you and yoru ex still friends or still trying to be friends? In that case, call her by her name. "Ex" (in girl term) is like another term for "recycled" - you had something with them but you're done. Just refer to her as your friend - it's the gentleman thing to do and will give you respect.
