Last Night, I woke up in the middle of the night literally drenched in sweat. I did not think much of it, because I had a heavy blanket over me, and i think I just got too hot. Although to be sure, I took my temp. and it was 96.1 degrees. When I got back into bed (after changing the sheets), I felt hot, then cold, hot, then cold, over and over again. This morning when I woke up I felt fine. As the day went on however, my body just started to feel hot, like I was "burning up". It was OK for awhile, but now its back... I haven't taken my temperature again yet, because i have been moving around quite a bit, laundry and such. Also, I feel itchy every once in a while over different parts of my body. Recently I switched to Dial Body wash, so maybe thats that part. PLease help me....

Without knowing more about your age and sex (male or female), difficult to advise anything except the standard advice: go to a doctor or health professional. If you were a lady in menopause, it could be hot flushes. It could be a nerological problem. It could be some thing else.

You need to see a doctor. When I was pregnant with my son (8 months) I had the same symptoms. You break out in a sweat like that...the kind that drenches the sheets, because you HAD a fever and it broke (hence the lower temp. when you took it). It only happened during the night, but...I had pneumonia and didn't even know it.

I'd wager the itchiness is from the soap and dry winter air.

Sounds like you are coming down with something. How old are you? Could it be you're having hot flashes?

If you have sensitive skin, then yes, something like Dial is very harsh on the body, as is Tide detergent and other products that are perfumey etc.

As my friend above me said, see a doctor!

This is very dangerous. You need to see a doctor right away. Go to the ER if you have to. Make sure you get plenty of fluids in the meantime.

Check to see if you have a rash. Take a Tylenol for fever.
