My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Will lovemaking feel different? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really.

Getting circumsized will cut out about 30% of his nerves that he uses to feel how good sex is. you won't feel a difference, he will. He'd probably say it's like driving and old VW bug and he used to drive a BMW. The only reason it is even in the US is because in the late 1800's doctors would travel around and tell women to circumsize their boys, and they wouldn't get childhood ailments.

It's total BS about it not being clean....

Women are clean, and they have similar equipment, as the clitoris is somewhat hooded and when you are aroused it swells up and pops out. Would you want your hooding cut off??? I think not.

In the UK they don't circumsize anymore because the doctors learned in that there was no medical reason to. 30% of boys born on the west coast don't get circumsized anymore.

Unless it's in your religion, Don't do it!

I've been with only one uncircumsized man and my other boyfriends were circumsized, and I must say that I much prefer circumsized penises. First of all, I would say it's definitely a personal preference in regards to the woman (whether or not you prefer circumsized penises). For the man, it's more hygienic, and might even help your member look larger (but then again, maybe I just don't like the head being covered with the extra skin). The difference in appearance is that, of course, the extra skin won't be there; as for lovemaking, I personally have never felt the difference.

It is so much more cleaner. Your husband will be at more risk being an older person. Normally this is done 1 or 2 days after birth for boys. It can be done though. It is more of a personal preference. If your husband wants it done let him do it. I personally have had both circumcised and uncircumcised. With foreskin can be a problem while having sexual intercourse because of the vigorous pulling of the extra foreskin for long extended time periods. Kind gets in the way with oral sex upon initiation. Without the foreskin seems cleaner, and more easy to work with in my preference.

Hope this helps....

The lovemaking won't change. It may be a little cleaner because the foreskin isn't hanging over and traping bacteria. (which if he's clean, i think it's not true anyways)

It sounds like it will make him feel better about his appearance. I'd say, tell him you love him like he is, but will support him if it's what he really wants.

It doesn't make any difference to either sex, once the penis is erect the foreskin is pretty much non existent. I wonder what has made your husband start thinking about it??? Has he been speaking to someone.....tell him from another woman not to worry about it unless it will make him feel better about himself and if that's the case, why does he need to feel better. Have a chat, may bring you closer together without the need for surgery!?

I prefer circumcised men because they taste less icky. I've had a few anteaters...they are not bad. Once it's fully erect, you can't tell the difference.
