Cystic fibrosis is a disease of the lungs, it can cause you to be bronchial and lung infections a lot, but it is usually diagnosed really early in life, and the life span of someone with CF is not long. Most don't live through their 20's, although there have been people that have lived longer.

There are little infections that you can get that can re-occur often, and can seem like they just don't go away.

Asthma is another one that can cause bronchial infections. It effects the bronchial anyway, so it may seem like an infection is going on, when really it is just asthma that is causing the problems.
