When she laughs, I look at her and she looks back at me. But when our eyes meet, she looks away. Why did she do that (shy, repulsed)? Also when this guy sat next to her and he extends his feet next to her, she keeps her feet away. Is she repulsed at that guy? On Tuesday, should I decide to sit next to her and talk to her, playing footsie with her?

She's trying to be polite and not stare at you like a snake at a bird. She obviously don't want this guy's feet in her territory. I had somebody do that to me.. I thought it was the most gross form of a come on. To beat it all I was sitting next to my boy friend and that was his form of making a sneaky silent pass at me.. yetch!!
On Tuesday, I'd sit next to her and hope that she laughs :) If she is wearing any jewelry, just say those are nice earrings or a nice bracelet.. or unusual ring. See if she will talk about it. Ask her if she has any pets at home. You just wondered because she is a happy person and happy people seem to have a pet.
If she don't wear jewelry and has a dress or blouse/sweater that looks good on her.. say.. You look good in that color. Is that your favorite color?
After your first conversation, you can just ask her how everthing is going. Like Hi there.. how's your day so far? maybe add Did you have time to watch (whatever) on TV last night?
Good luck with the shy girl.. actually she will either warm up to your non pushy chat and hope to see you again or she's gonna ignore you entirely.. a clue to sit someplace else next week.. OR you get there first.. let her find you.. or catch her eye from across the room and wave her over.. if she waves you over in return.. fly over there because I'm sure your feet won't be touching the ground...

Playing footsie is a bad idea at the moment considering you dont even know if shes the shy type.Just go with the flow,things will get clearer for you with time.As for the eye contact i think she looks away because she doesn't want you to get any funny ideas,making eye contact is a kind of flirting too.Just be a little patient,if you rush things you will only end up losing what little you have got.

Maybe its too much too fast for her. Just sit next other and talk to her don't play games til you know the rules!!

ummm.... she probably is shy and doesn't like to make eye contact....and as far as the whole feet situation.... shy people tend to like to stay to themselves and just like their own personal space....shes not repulsed...shes just a little shy
