I used to try to hold everything in because I didn't want people to know I was sad, upset, or hurting inside. There are many things I've done in my life that have hurt others and there are just as many things that have been said or done to me that have hurt me inside - But my pride got in the way and I'd put on a front like I didn't have a care in the world about them. I've said things I didn't mean and I've made careless choices - in the end, my conscience got the best of me.

For a short time I was able to keep it all together.. After a while it gets too hard to smile or put on an angry front in hopes of trying to hide the pain and keep your pride. There is only so much a soul can take before it starts to die inside - Guilt steps in and it will take control.

It's the conscience.. The realization that you can keep your pride and dignity even after showing emotion and coming to terms with yourself. It's the brilliance of LIGHT into our hearts that makes us fall on our knees.

Prideful people have the mind set that they can handle anything better than could anyone else. It is only when life hands them something they can't handle alone that they sometimes turn to God. Others are called by God and feel the weight of their sins.

Pride is a heavy burden to bear..because most people don't realize how they are. Pride can make you condescend..act egotistical etc. It should be put aside..and realized that people with this particular "sin", if you will...are only hurting themselves..Noone is above the next person....CIRCUMSTANCES only cause those levels..And not everyone can help their circumstances regardless of what anyone says.

what a nut ball question. The only sin that could bring me to my knees is a 400 pound safe that I'm stealing right now. Sins HA, corn ball

it's not the weight of a sinful nature, it's the weight of knowing what they can be, and falling short. Most people are brought to their knees because they know they're acting foolish-- and they want to change that. Being prideful means not recognizing yur flaws-- that's not KNOWING them, and not FIXING them (ie: repenting & becoming renewed)

Maybe so. But many times i suspect it because they get cut off and ostracized by friends and family. they get lonely and new strangers aren't the same as old friends and family. it takes years to build that sort of thing up and a short time of bad behavior to destroy all that. fools do things like that. i wouldn't know anything about it myself. i just heard somebody talking about it.

Ah, the deceit of double-talk and allusion! Not to mention, but I will, self-righteousness. I behave because it is innate and a matter of my personal integrity to do so. I clean up my own messes because it is my responsibility to do so. Your allusions (and illusions) are yours, and yours alone - they mean nothing to me. I just can't resist shooting down the self-righteous.

No. If someone has done anything illegal, it is up to the DA's office to bring charges after the police investigate it.

Otherwise, it's just the usual judgmental religious claptrap.
