You will find the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5, starting with verse 19. In these verses you will find "emulations"(jealousy) and "revellings" (could be the same as prideful), among other things. One of the fruit of the Spirit is Love, which Paul expounded on in I Corinthians 13. You may want to look very closely to see the importance of this level of Love called "charity”. Two things that don't exist in love are pride and jealousy. Love made it possible for Christ to do ALL the things he had done, including suffering, dieing and rising on the third day for us. John 15:13 says this” Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." This kind of love is not something that you have over night though. According to 2 Peter 1:3-8, it is a growing process in which Charity is the goal. Anyway, keep growing in the fruits of the Spirit, and the deeds of the flesh will become a distant memory.

Neither. Pride and jealousy have no place in love. In fact, either would be bad for love. It is also not a consequence. Pride and jealousy are negative emotions that many humans allow to get out of hand. Jealousy stems from having a low self esteem (in otherwords, you dont think you are good enough to keep that person happy etc.) Pride comes from "thinking more highly of ourself" Neither are good things.

No, love doesn't contain them. They are part of our human nature. Love rids one of pride and jealousy, it doesn't create them.

It does exist in a bond of 2 people that have love, however it is not love that causes these emotions. It is fear and vanity.
