Lol... probably not.. but how many people listen to their mother's all the time?

My mama didn't say it but my pop did. The saying isn't "Only say nice things" it's "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." So with that, I take it to mean that if you are just being negative and have nothing positive coming out of your mouth, don't talk at all. Yes, I think some people wouldn't learn to talk. I keep in in mind when I'm in "a mood" and should just sequester myself for a bit for an attitude check.

The reason I think she said that is to keep you from getting into a long fight or problems with that person. Besides that I just is not worth the spent energy, because they will not listen to you.

My mama taught me that people who are compassionate and caring about other people try to pass everything they say through this test:

Is it true?
Is it necessary to say it?
Is it kind?

That works for me.
