I am in hight school, I started volunteering at a humane society, not only because I want to put it on my resume but also I love animals. What do I need to keep track of that are important to know.

I don't know the specific requirements for you but I think the important things to learn are what is important to you
what ever you learn there, How it makes you feel, good or bad. What ever you form an opinion about and whatever makes you think out side of your self and your own environment helps you grow as a person.

those pets up for Adoption towards in finding a good home

just keep a diary of your everyday experiences with the society special and touching moments and what u did for the day
