Make sure to clean the area well with mild soap and clean, warm water. You can use some 3% Hydrogen Peroxide on a cotton ball, then put an antibiotic ointment on it (like Neosporin). If it's a deep cut, won't stop bleeding, or starts to worsen/get infected/look worse/not heal/appears to hurt your dog, see a vet ASAP.
Good luck!

That's a simple antibiotic cream. It won't hurt the dog. It might or might not do some good but you should thoroughly wash the abrasion first.

Triple antibotic is ok to put on an animal externally. It helps keep infection out & it helps heal the abrasion faster. Many of animal prescriptions are the same as ours but in different doses.

neosporan is fine for him as long as he can't chew on his ears or anything because he doesn't need to ingest it, but if the abrasion doesn't heal within about a week or two you need to take him to the vet.

Neosporin is okay and will help, it won't hurt your dog, but always check with a vet if there is a doubt about medicating a dog.

if in any doubt, call the vet and get an appointment.
oh by the way-the correct spelling is neosporin, and they use it at the vets all the time, along with Hydrogen Peroxide to clean open wounds before ,during ,and after surgeries.

I have never heard of this medication
Just use either salt in warm water or diluted betadine and cleanse the ear twice a day. If any signs of infection (swelling, discharge. heat, vomiting. loss of appetite) occur then take to vet.

I was told by a vet that some people meds can be used on animals. Triple-antibiotic-ointment is one. But when in doubt, call up a vet and ask.
