Why has Al Qaeda not thought of co--ordinated mass forest fires against it's enemies, is that not spectacular

(ANS) The problem with your idea of a co-ordinated attack using mutiple forrest fires is that:-

a) there isnt enough of an element of suprise in this idea.

b) It would be easily & quickly tackled by the authorities or the army.

c) it wouldnt KILL enough people to be really shocking.

**Al Quada uses lateral style thinking, they are thinking outside the box. They will attack in a way nobody can anticipate just look at 9/11 its was unbelievably clever & horrible to use an airliner in that way.

**I think Al Quada's real aim or gaol wasnt just to kill as many people as possible with 9/11. Bin Lardins aim was I believe to bring down the global financial markets, bring down global capitolism itself. That means every single person on the entire planet would have been affected had they succeeded. Just imagine nobody being able to move money around any where, now mutiply that by every continent, every coutries stock markets, every countries banks. If you dont think we're all inter-connected then your deluding yourself.

Its was a VERY clever plan but thank goodness it failed in its real goals. Otherwise we would all have been badly affected, taken back to the stone age in only a few hours. It would have been a nightmare quiet literally, the impact coauld have been FAR more catastophic than it was!!??

Make no mistake, al Qaeda is planning a variety of attacks and I'm willing to bet that mass forest fires is on their palette.

They don't have to do that. They talked to Al Gore about Global Warming. Al tells them that if the ice bergs could melt quickly the oceans would rise 25 feet and do much damage.

So, aQ is buying all the black paint that they can find and paint all of the ice bergs black. Carbon Dioxide may do the same in a few million years, but the black paint will expedite the melting.

Their goal (among many) is to cause fear of death and injury in the general population. Major forests in the US are typically not located near population centers...they are usually National Forests devoid of significant human inhabitants. Simply put, while an environmental tragedy a major forest fire wouldn't kill enough people compared to explosive devises or planes flown into buildings.

That would not be as impressive. Forest fires are happening all the time and no one cares. How about rotating traffic jams. You know that they control enough taxi cabs to do it.
