Luis ... Yes, as others said, you had better search quickly. It's already hard to find places that are selling PCs with XP installed; these units have been heavily discounted to get them off the shelves.
You want to know more about Vista? Well, there are stories all over the place, of course. But a recent Answer of mine addressed that matter exactly. Here's what I said:
"There seem to be many negatives, not to mention outright bugs. After its first Service Pack is released, I might change my mind about getting Vista, but since you need a powerful machine to use many of its features, it just doesn't make economic sense to me. The poor sales figures reported in the Yahoo story seem to support my opinion.
"I've also heard many complaints about Microsoft's Digital Rights Management (DRM). My second link is a recent article devoted to this topic. It's entitled, "... Vista DRM (It's Evil!)." I think that says it all. And if that's not enough to convince you, get this line from this article: "The DRM scheme uses extra computing resources to check up on all of this (to the tune of 30 times a second), which is one reason why you need so much RAM and a fast CPU to run Vista at all."
I feel you're right to be worried/suspicious. I'm definitely not getting Vista.

Well.... It's not the worse thing in the world (anyone remember Windows ME? What a friggin joke that was!) The thing about Vista is that it's just over a month old so of course it's gonna have some problems/glitches that need worked out... I would suggest waiting a few months for some patches to come out and let Micro$oft work out some of the kinks before buying...

At first I thought it was crap, I was really considering getting a Mac, and I still am. But I installed Vista Ultimate on one of my computers that I use more often, and I got to tell you, it works great. Many people that dislike it are the ones that don’t’ have it. But truly, once you get it, it’s really worth it. The one thing I like the most is the speech, where you could talk to the computer, or in other words, give it orders. It saves tons of time while typing my homework.

i installed it on my main PC and have to say it was very nice and looked the buisness was a nice easy install and seemed to speed up opening certian programs, but then i tried to play some games on it.....i was shocked, first off they have removed all windows drivers for soundblaster sound cards beneath X-Fi the ATI graphics drivers caused me to get more blue screens in an hour then i have had with my rig in its life, most older games simply do not run and there are other little glitches that i dont like about it
i would say if you are not intending on playing anything more intensive then solitaire and use it only for internet access and emails then vista is very good, if on the other hand you want to use it for 3d gaming then stick with XP, buy a OEM laptop from somewhere like http://www.ebuyer.com and buy a cheep XP home from there too

Ekse my mense you!!
Afrikaans is lekker and Zulu too!!!
Anyway, I use Windows Vista on my new super machine and I have not experienced anything unusual yet...
I program my Java programs on the Vista machine although I still use my old machine for most things such as Internet conncetions, chat, website creations and running small server programs. I use WinXP SP2....
I think Vista is okay... easy to use and friendly interface.

Now that I'm adjusting to it it's not bad. I really like the GUI and features like the sidebar. It's slower than I would like, but I've been meaning to upgrade my RAM anyway. I use XP at work and miss some of the Vista features I've become used to at home. I'm hoping to talk my boss into letting me upgrade my work machine so we can see how it works in our domain and with our SMS server.

Never used it and won't spend $400 to upgrade to it when XP works just fine.
